Rapunzel's Revenge by Shannon and Dean Hale

In this fantasy tale Rapunzel is taken away from her birth mother at a very young age by Mother Gothel. She is raised in a beautiful villa from which she's not allowed to leave, but she's very curious and is able to get to the tall wall which surrounded the villa and sees her mother's evil ways of treating people, as slaves. A lady approaches Rapunzel and gives her water, the peasant lady seems familiar to Rapunzel and she quickly recognizes her as her birth mother, but the guard grabbed her and takes her to Mother Gothel. Rapunzel is kept captive in a tall tree in the middle of the woods for four years. She uses her long hair to escape and begins her journey to take revenge on Mother Gothel and free her birth mother.
