Bishop, N. (2007). Spiders. New York, NY: Scholastic Inc.
Spiders is about different kinds of spiders portrayed as hunters before lions, tigers, and even before dinosaurs. According to Bishop they were one of the first predators to walk on land, starting more than 350 million years ago. Bishop captures these small to big spiders through this book's beautiful and vivid photographs. The spiders look as if they look at you straight in the eye. Bishop matches the spiders' external characteristics to each photograph in such a lively manner in this nonfiction book.
