In this tale, the students wonder what the Lunch Lady does on her off time from school work. They make it their mission to figure out what it is that she does when she's not working. A substitute takes over Mr. O'Connell's class and this has everyone wondering why there's a substitute teacher when Mr. O'Connell is never absent. The Lunch Lady begins investigating and finds out that the substitute is a cyborg substitute teacher trying to jeopardize the real teachers' chances to win the teacher of the year title. Cyborgs want to take over the school. The Lunch Lady with her supernatural powers overpowers them with the help of some of the students.

In this tale the Lunch Lady will serve lunch and justice one more time. She knows that something is wrong again and there’s definitely something rotten going on in the library. The school librarians are always nice, polite, and very friendly and now they are acting weird and ignoring many around them. They are very secretive, too. Even Dee can’t seem to make them smile. The Lunch Lady is ready to solve this case. Once again, Hector, Terrence, and Dee are part of her investigation.

In this tale once again Lunch Lady will rescue the day. Dee, Terrence, and Hector are very excited about this day because it is Author Visit Day. Lewis Scribson is visiting and he is the author of the famous Flippy Bunny books. Hector is a huge fan of these books. It is also an excuse to get Dee and Terrence out of math class. Coach Birkby, the gym teacher disappears mysteriously the day the author visits. Something is not right with this special guest, and Lunch Lady is suspicious about him wondering what is it that he really wants. She will definitely solve this problem once again.
